The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test OTET 2024 and 2025 is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha as the eligibility test for appointment as a teacher in classes 1 to 8 in the State of Odisha.
The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha is a Body Corporate constituted under the Odisha Secondary Education Act, 1953. It regulates, controls and develops Secondary Education in the State of Odisha. BSEO conducts the OTET 2024 and 2025 as per the NCTE guidelines.
The OTET 2024 and 2025 consists of two papers.
- Paper 1 is for aspirants who plan to teach classes 1-5
- Paper 2 is for aspirants who plan to teach classes 6-8
- Candidates who clear both the Papers 1 and 2 are eligible to teach across all classes from 1 to 8
OTET Papers I and II will have 150 MCQs, of which 30 MCQs will be from CDP – Child Development & Pedagogy, which is a compulsory subject in this exam.

Unit 4 – Approaches to teaching and learning

- TLM – its importance, use and preparation for classroom transaction
- Teaching competency to handle mono-grade and multi-grade situation
