Which NLU has best placement?

In terms of the range of companies coming to campus and the salary packages being offered, NLSIU Bengaluru tops the group, with NLU-D and NALSAR following very closely.

The median salary of placed graduates of the most recent batch passing out of NLSIU is INR 15,20,000; which is a great starting salary for a relative fresher.

Which NLU has the biggest campus?

Biggest is an ambiguous term, since it can refer to the absolute area of the campus, even if it is not being utilized for any purpose. The best way to look at this question is to read it as ‘Which NLU has the best campus?’, where ‘best’ is in the context of the facilities.

While all the NLUs have the standard facilities, NLSIU, NLU-D, NALSAR, WBNUJS and NLUJ have some of the best equipped campuses. The other NLUs are also not far behind.

What does really make a difference is the quality of the Faculty and the students; who make the NLUs the best law schools in India.


Which subjects are required for CLAT?

The CLAT 2020 exam will have five sections.

Which type of lawyer has the highest salary in India?

If we look at the list of the most highly paid Lawyers in India, we see that it comprises of almost all the fields of law.

Though Lawyers dealing with high profile Criminal and Corporate cases may be in the news, there are plenty of Lawyers who specialize in niche areas like ‘Marine Law’, who are rarely in the news, but can have very lucrative practice or employment.


Which NLU will conduct CLAT 2020?

Since 2019, the central administration and coordination of the CLAT exam has been handed over to the CLAT Consortium based in NLSIU Bengaluru.

The core committee of the consortium consists of the Vice-Chancellors of all the member NLUs and the executive committee will have members from across various NLUs.

The ground work, including collating the question papers, may be done by experts from one of the NLUs e.g. NLU Ranchi, the exam will be conducted by the Consortium.


Who is conducting CLAT 2020?

In the past, the CLAT was conducted on a rotational basis by one of the participating NLUs. In 2019, the CLAT Consortium was established to coordinate and administer the exam on behalf of all the NLUs.

Though some of the background work, such as creating the question papers, will be done by experts from one of the NLUs, the overall exam will be conducted by the CLAT Consortium.


Will CLAT 2020 be online?

CLAT has a history of being conducted both in Online & Offline modes in the past.

The most recent edition in 2019 was conducted offline and went off without any major glitch. The 2018 edition was conducted online and saw many issues, leading to filing of PILs across the country and recalculation of the results.

The 2020 version of CLAT is most likely to be conducted offline, in a paper-pen mode. But eventually the exam will be moved to an online mode and administered by a specialized agency like the NTA.
